The death of Mrs. Ellen HEWITT an old resident of Thorntown occurred Tuesday morning at the home of her son, John Hewitt in Thorntown following a long illness of a complication of diseases. Deceased was a native of Indiana and was born Oct 5, 1844 being aged at time of death 71 years 6 months 27 days. William Hewitt, husband of deceased has been dead more than 10 years. Deceased was a member of the Episcopalian church and most estimable woman. The funeral services will be held Wed afternoon 2:30 from the residence of John Hewitt and service will be in charge of Rev Hugh Ronald of Presbyterian Church, Thorntown. Burial in old cemetery at Thorntown. - kbz
